This songs gonna put an eye out!
If I had a wish about my music, it would be that it made the listener listen. I want to make music that matters. If its not by lyrics, then its by the musical arrangement. This song "RAIN" fits into Both categories! It was written by Vernon Rust in 1988. Vernon was Keith Urbans magic booster pill, he teamed up with Keith to write "Walkin The Country" which was the song that made KU. The 2 of them penned nearly the whole album for "The Ranch". Rain is the 3rd song that I have recorded of Vernons and I have no doubt that there will be more!

The recording of this track was a lot of fun! Aside from the vocals, I played the bass and all of the guitars excluding the solo, I wasn't happy with what I was playing so I reached out to our other guitarist Lyle Ronglien for that part and he killed it! Rod Masters played some amazing Piano and Organ and Phil Carter hit the skins! I recorded all of my parts at home on my MAC using GarageBand, Lyle used Logic for his part and Rod used Sonar Platinum. Lyle and I worked together, sending the project or mix ideas back and forth over the net to do the mix down and once we settled, Lyle Mastered it using Ozone. I am extremely proud that we all worked together and made such an amazing recording on a nothing budget! Cant wait to make more music but for now, crank the crud out of this one!
